Obituary
Stanley Tom, Sr. passed away at his home in Yerington, Nevada on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was 87.
Stanley was born in Sweetwater, Nevada on September 9, 1928 the son of Lee and Emma (Scheck)Tom.
He was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He married Imogene Rhoan on July 4, 1958 in Yerington.
Stanley enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He had worked many different jobs in his life from ranching, mining and had also worked for the Yerington Paiute Tribe.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene, his children, Mike, Gary, Don, Stanley, Jr., Alvin, Dave, Kathleen, Marilyn and Bernita; his sisters, Joyce Glazier and Madeline Stevens Lundy; his 55 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; also by numerous other relatives and friends.
Stanley's funeral service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Yerington Tribal Gym. Burial with military honors will be at the Tribal Section of Valley View Cemetery.
