On November 3 ^rd , 1957, James Isaac Moore and his wife Estelle Slater Moore brought their son, Steven James Moore, into this world with the help of Dr. Elliot in Placerville, California. On January 13, 2019 Steve was ushered from his home in Yerington, Nevada into Heaven with the waiting spirits of his mother, father, and beloved Rottweiler, Toady.

On June 20 ^th of last year, Steve and his best friend, Stacey Elmer, were demolishing a mobile home with sledge hammers, when Stacey rushed Steve to the Emergency Room at South Lyon Medical Center. Steve liked to boast that on that day, he stopped smoking "cold turkey". In the next few days, Steve learned at Renown that he had small cell lung carcinoma.

Steve waged a hard and courageous battle against the cancer in his body with chemo therapy and radiation. But ultimately, he had to take the turn that we all must take.

To his last breath, Steve kept his good humor, was pleasant and welcoming to visitors, and did not become embittered about his plight.

Steve was especially grateful to local friend & CNA Kira Goodman for helping him in his most intense times of need; as well as Renown Cancer Navigator Lisa Gardner, the nurses at Renown oncology, Cancer Care Specialists, Danny Villalobos, and Eden Hospice.
