Ted Andrew Rich passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the Renown Medical Center in Reno, Nevada.  He was 88.

Ted was born in San Francisco, California on November 17, 1932 to Ralph and Vera (Tachilli) Rich. Ted
attended schools in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Ted was a Korean War Navy veteran and a lifetime member of the VFW, Post 7289, Lancaster,
California.

Ted retired after a 42 year career at Edwards Air Force Base, California as an Electronics Tech;
39 of those years were with Civil Service, and 3 years with Computer Science Corp. He loved
every day of his working career and was proud to be involved in pioneering some of the most
exciting times in the aircraft industry.

In 1984, Ted met and married the love of his life, Sandra. After his retirement, he and Sandra
moved to Yerington and in 1992 built their home. After a few years of retirement, Ted became
bored and took a custodian job at the Yerington Elementary School where he loved working with
the teachers and children, and soon became involved in activities beyond just cleaning.
Ted's love of fishing lead to many years of trips to the High Sierra creeks for trout. His other
hobbies and projects included gardening where his yard was always a show place. He helped
many neighbors and friends with their gardening and yard projects as well. Ted also enjoyed
golfing and was an avid reader of western stories.

Ted was predeceased by his two brothers, Bill Rich and George (Patty of La Pine, OR) Rich.
Ted is survived by his wife Sandra, his three children, Rabecca, Roberta and Joel Rich, his
granddaughter Erica Rich, and his niece Elizabeth Larson (Rob). Ted will also be missed by
Patty Rich, Sandra's Aunt Dody, Sandra's Sisters Holly and Lori, and Nephews, Zachary and
Nathan.

It was Ted's wishes that no service be held, his remains will be buried in the family plot at Valley View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his name to the South Lyon Medical Center-Long Term Care, 213 S.
