Teresa Moriconi passed away peacefully at her residence in Yerington, Nevada on Thursday, March 27th. She was 95.

She was born in Bodie, California on May 18, 1912 and was the third oldest of the 15 children born to Giuseppe and Fortuna Menesini. She grew up in Yerington and attended local schools and resided in Yerington her entire life. She married Ralph Moriconi on August 23, 1932 and they enjoyed fifty-two years together. One of her fond memories as a young teenage girl was being asked by Elvira and Joe Dini to come to Bodie and help Elvira cook a big dinner of Italian food and wild game for numerous residents of Bodie.
Her life revolved around her husband and children and she was a homemaker in every sense of the word. She loved to cook for her family and friends, bake delicious pies and cookies and to embroider. When her cleaning was done she would clean up every afternoon and always put her make-up, necklaces, earrings and rings, and this held true all of her life. Many who knew and saw her would comment that she looked like she had stepped out of a fashion magazine. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, St. Gemma Galgani Altar Society and the Yerington Italian Catholic Federation. She was proud to be a member of the Yerington Homemakers and to have taught a 4-H cooking class. She also enjoyed very much the Italian Girls monthly luncheons.

She is survived by her children, Ralph (R.J.) of Modesto, CA, Lita (Ken) Brown of Yerington, Lora Jean (Bob) Rapini of San Ramon, CA; her grandchildren, Darrol and Kevin Brown of Yerington, Michelle (Randy) Abraham of San Ramon, Joleen (Greg) Lafayette of Danville, CA; her step-great grandchildren, Melissa Spangle of Yerington, Jennifer (Scott) Tackitt of Fallon; and her great grandchildren, Meghan Brown of Yerington, Collin, Connor, Corrine Lafayette of Danville; her brother, Joe (Wanda) Menesini of Yerington, and her sister, Angelina Jarrett of San Clemente, CA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sisters and brothers, Jeanette Sacchini, Annie Masini, Sandrini Quilici, Alan Menesini, Pete Menesini, Linda Murphy, Geno Menesini, Orlando Menesini, Louie Menesini, Yolanda Aiazzi, Zelpha Pasterino and Danny Menesini.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, April 1st at the Holy Family Catholic Church 37 North West St. Yerington. The Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Wednesday, April 2nd at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be at the family plot at Valley View Cemetery.
