Terrance 'Terry' E. Thompson passed away on Friday afternoon, March 9th at his home in Yerington. He was 47.
Terry was born in Yerington, Nevada on January 21, 1960. He was a member of the Yerington Paiute Tribe. He graduated from high school in 1978. While in high school he palyed baseball and after he went on to play adult softball. He had worked for Crescent Garage for over 20 years and then went to school in Phoenix to become a diseal mechanic and then went to work for Smith Valley Garage. He enjoyed fishing, camping and BBQ with his family. He was always laughing. He also enjoyed working on cars. He had married Sandra Stanhope in Reno on January 11, 1986.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra
of Yerington; his son, Zach of Reno and his daughter, Caitlan of Yerington; his sisters, Nancy Killebrew of Phoenix, AZ and Patti McKnight of Schurz; his brothers, Marlin of Yerington, Reldon Hatch of Yerington, Loren of Carson City, Doug of Battle Mountain and Curtis of Schurz; his Mother, Thelma Thompson of Yerington.
A Memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday, March 16th at the Yerington Tribal Gym.
