Thelma Mae Johnson passed away at her daughter's home in Yerington, Nevada on Tuesday morning, January 25, 2011. She was 80.

Thelma was born May 18, 1930 in Tribune, Kansas the daughter of Thomas and Esther Ruth (Ranch) Doty. She married Darrel Johnson on June 16, 1968.

In her early years Thelma worked as a waitress. Thelma had lived in Colorado, Oregon, Alaska and Nevada. She was an active member of the Word of Life Fellowship. Thelma had devoted her life to taking care of her husband and her family. She was also loved by many and will be missed deeply.

Thelma is survived by her husband of over 42 years, Darrel; her children, Patsy Cox (Carl), Richard Varner (Nancy), Vicky Hoogland (Harry), Carol Varner, Randy Johnson (Karen), Cindy (Silva), Kay Cates (Roland), Joella Whitesides (Todd); her brother Robert Hogan (June); and her 62 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Wally Hogan, Delmar Doty and Ronnie McQueen.

Thelma's memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Word of Life Fellowship 4505 Center Street Winnemucca (775) 623-3322.
