Thomas 'Tom' M. Rowe passed away at his home in Yerington, Nevada on Wednesday afternoon, January 26, 2011. He was 66.
Tom was born in Frankfort, Michigan on October 20, 1944 the son of Paul and Grace (Merriman) Rowe. Tom was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force.
Tom was an expert electrician, deep-sea diver, world traveler and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Tom loved to sing and play guitar and was a great bowler and golfer. Tom believed that a man's word was his badge of honor. when he gave his word, it was as good as gold and he expected the same from others. He was a true gentleman and a faithful friend to all who had the privilege of his friendship. He loved to joke and was an amazing story-teller. He will be greatly missed, but all who knew him were blessed by his extraordinary kindness and loving heart.
Tom is survived by his wife, Lee Baker-Rowe; son, Jamie (Sam) Rowe; daughters, Jennifer Rowe (Andy) Schump, Cheryl (Mark) Kaufmann, Amanda (Abel) Ortiz, and Christina Rowe; his sisters, Paula White, Mimi (Art) Robles; his brother, Jamie Rowe; 14 grandchildren, 8 nieces and nephews and numerous cousins and loyal friends. As his grandson, Isaak said "When Papa died, a new star is in the sky.
Tom's Memorial Mass will be held 12:00 Noon, Saturday, February 5th at Holy Family Catholic Church. A reception will follow the service at the Catholic Hall.
