Thomas 'Tom' Harvey Patten passed away at his home in Yerington, Nevada on Wednesday, April 16, 2008. He was 78.

Tom was born May 1, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York the only child of Harvey and Florence Patten.

Tom was a distinguished Electronic Engineer. Tom had a great zest for life and enjoyed many interests including remote control airplanes, baseball, photography, painting, reading, movies and music. His family is gratefull for the love and kindness his Yerington friends and neighbors shared with him in his retirement years.

He is survived by his children, Geraldine Patten Varela, Robert Patten, Nancy Patten, Tom Patten and step-son, Robert Hanf; eight grandchildren, two great grandsons; and his cats, 'Stubby' and 'Rusty'. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Minerva Luz Patten and his second wife, Majorie Hanf Patten.

In keeping with his wishes no memorial service will be held. His ashes will be spread in the desert.
