Valerie Salet Breckenridge passed away unexpectedly at her home in Yerington on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.  She was 77.

Val was born in San Francisco, California on August 29, 1947 the daughter of Valentine and Norma (Richardson) Salet.

Val worked thirty plus years as a Computer Program Specialist at Bently in Gardnerville.  She enjoyed Bowling on the 'Tuesday Ladies Night Out', she was involved with the 'Through a Child's Eye' Dance club.  She enjoyed the get-togethers with her friends at the Wagon Wheel in Yerington.

Val is survived by her Sister, Carol Salet-Tripp and Brother, Tom Salet, and her beloved cats, Simba and Lucy; Step-son, Tyson Breckenridge; Also by her many friends including DJ and Kayla Marshe and their son, Chad. By many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step father, Joe Cabral and Val's husband, Mike who passed in 2023.

A Celebration of her Life will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, February 15th at the Wagon Wheel Saloon, 16 Hwy 208 Yerington.  A Potluck is planned so if you would like to bring a dish it would be welcomed.  Family and friends are invited to sign her online guest book at www.FRFH.net
