Vaughn Raymond Smith, Jr passed away at his home in Yerington on Thursday, June 25, 2020.  He was 66.

Vaughn was born in Los Angeles, California on May 6, 1954 the son of Vaughn and Dorotha (Caswell) Smith.

Vaughn, also known by 'Butch and 'Shine', has been a resident of Yerington for the past 21 years.  He had worked for Peri & Sons as a Truck Driver.  He enjoyed Team Roping, Driving Truck and caring for his yard.

He is survived by his Long Time partner, Mary Duhart; his brother, Tony Hawkins.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with his wishes no Memorial service will be held, his cremains will be placed in Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date.  Family and friends are invited to sign his guest book at www.FRFH.net
