Virgie Elizabeth Karnes passed away at the Mason Valley Residence from complications of Alzheimer's on Saturday, March 4, 2017. She was 82.

Virgie was born on March 26, 1934 in Pleasant Ridge, Arkansas. She was the 5th of 14 children.

Virgie married Ralph H. Karnes in 1950. Ralph held many jobs all over the United States and Virgie was a homemaker that made her home wherever they lived with their daughter, Deborah and made friends at all the places they lived.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah and her husband John Dibble; her grandchildren, James and Joseph and her great grandkids, Jared, Naomi and Macie; by her siblings, Leslie, Leona, Clara, James, Kenneth and Darrell. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and six siblings, Charles, David, William, Donald, Mable, Marguerite and Mary Ann.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 26 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at her daughter's home, 41 Panavista Drive Yerington. Her cremains will be buried with her husband, Ralph at the Northern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
