Virginia Ruth (Fincher) Nish, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 21, 2020.

Virginia was born March 7, 1936 in Fairfield, California the daughter of William and Pearl Mae (Hutchinson) Fincher.  She was one of six daughters of Bill Fincher; Dejah Marie (Cabral), Madge Myree (Dietrich), Emma Lee (Fagundes), Wilda Jean (Knoblock) and Margaret Ann (Case).  When Bill passed away, Pearl married August (Augie) Guido, they had twins Kathryn (Stott) and Calvin Guido.

Virginia was raised in Livermore, CA where she attended Livermore High School,  She was a majorette, in many drama productions and was involved in all aspects of her school.  She graduated in 1954.  She worked as a nurse at the Livermore Sanitarium and at Valley Memorial Hospital.  She also worked at Eden Hospital and Laurel Grove Hospital in Castro Valley.  She moved to Yerington in 1979 where she took a job as a social worker for the Lyon County Welfare Department.  She then worked for the Mason Valley Boys and Girls club where she loved all the kids.  When she retired she continued volunteering with the Foster Grandparent program at the Yerington Elementary School.  She ran the "Attic" second hand shop for the Boys and Girls Club.

She is survived by her sons, Steven (Ellen) Law of Manteca, CA, Randy (Patty Law of Salida, CA; her daughters, Jenny Haycock of Chico, CA and Lisa Steele of Yerington; her sister, Wilda Knoblock of California; her grandchildren, Jenna Law of Vacaville, CA, Garrett Law of Tracy, CA, Kevin (Tara) Law of Tacoma, WA, Ethan and Dylan Law of Fairfield, CA; two great granddaughters, Kasidee and Scarlett Law and four great great grandsons, Rowan, Alexander, Neal and Eoin Law.

Virginia loved her family and friends and will be remembered as a woman who gave her all.  She wants to say "Goodbye, I Love You, look for me at the Pearly Gates" to all who knew her - she will be deeply missed.
