Walita Jean Tom passed away at her home in Schurz on Monday evening, October 21, 2019.  She was 79,

Walita was born March 4, 1940 in Fort Defiance, Arizona the daugther of Walter and Lucille (Hill) Voorhees.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Carter and Corey Tom; her sister Vickie; her 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Chris Carter, her brother, Robert and sisters, Barbara Brown and Norma Crowley and her husband, Bruce.
