Walt Russell passed away peacefully at the age of 100 years in Yerington on July 1 ^st , 2018. He loved and served the Lord for his entire life, and was a man of integrity, dignity, and kindness. He will be greatly missed.

Walt was born in Mable Vale, Arkansas on January 21, 1918 the son of Fred and Dolly Russell.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in World War II.

He was predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Inez Russell. He is lovingly remembered by his survivors: Ian and Margaret Russell Curley (Yerington), Robert and Laura Russell (Rockport, Tx), four grandchildren: Brenda Russell (Bartlett, TX), Robert and Alison Russell (Pineville, LA), Becki and Joey Kennamer (Morrison, TN), and Troy Russell (New York), eight great grandchildren: Shyla Hungerford, Jessica Russell, Ashley Ray, Myranda Lopez, Ted Snider, Alexander Bost, Katy Russell, and Lauren Russell, and nine great-great grandchildren: Ori, Una, Paytan, Max, Julian, Elijah, Bailey, Hannah, and Ethan.A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of Christ, 411 West St, Yerington, on Saturday, July 14 ^th , at 11 am., followed by lunch. Burial with military honors will be at the Northern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Fernley at 11 a.m. July 18, 2018.
