Walter 'Buddy' T. Solway passed away at his home in Yerington, Nevada on Monday, December 20, 2010 after an extended illness. He was 70.

Buddy was born in Taft, Tennessee on March 31,1940 the son of Roy and Minnie (Yell) Solway.

Buddy lived many years in Napa, California and for over 18 years has lived in Yerington, Nevada. He had worked as a Pipe Inspector for Kaiser Steel and Napa Pipe. He enjoyed attending Hot August Nights and other car shows with his 56 Olds, that he restored and took great pride in.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Solway; his children, Sons, Walter, Jr and his wife Chanel, Mike Sippola, Daughters, Gerry Wade and husband David Riley, Alma White of Napa, California and Melody and her husband Ron Roberts of Vacacille, California; his sisters, Charlott, Linda, Patty and Elizabeth; his 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Buddy was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, his step-Mother, Inez; his sisters, Reba and Ruby; his step-sister, Yvonne and a granddaughter, Jennifer.

In keeping with his wishes no memorial service will be held. Cremation will be under the direction of Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington. His cremains will be buried at a later date in the family plot in Napa, California.
