Wanda (Mimi) Faye Avery passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center in Carson City, NV. She was 76.

She was born in Cameron, Texas on October 22, 1938 the daughter of George and Annie (Simon) Hazelwood. She married Delbert Avery in 1956.

They settled in Oregon raising their family. She joined the CB Club and was very active in the 1980's and was known by her handle 'Moonbeam'. She enjoyed camping, crafts, reading and crossword puzzles. In 2004 after her husband passed away she moved to Yerington to be near her two daughters.

She is survived by her children, Cyndi (Edward) Menesini, Rebecca (Clifford) Warner both of Yerington, Clinton (Joann) Avery of Winston, Oregon and Dennis (Joanna) Avery of Sutherland, Oregon; her sister, Margie Hofferber of Oakley, CA; her 8 grandchildren, Brandi Larson, Kristina Bartlett, Joshua Avery, Jenny Carpenter, Jodi Avery, Valerie Olmstead, Chuck Warner and Kristie Mensini/Baumback; her 10 great grandchildren, Skylar Larson, Dylan Larson, Will Carpenter, Abby Carpenter, Dawson Farris, Zachary Farris, Aiden Farris, Vincent Menesini, Kellie Baumback and Parker Avery.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, August 29th at 218 S. Center Street Yerington (Behind the Museum). Family and friends are also invited to sign her online guest book at www.FRFH.net, also sympathy cards may be sent directly to the family from this site.

Her cremated remains will be buried with her husband and daughter, Kimberly at a later date at the Golden Gate National Cemetery.
