Wanda Emma Jane Mattis passed away on Saturday afternoon, February 1, 2014 at 'Just Like Home' in Yerington, Nevada. She was 91.

Wanda was born in Glendale, California on September 7, 1922. She had attended Glendale Community College. She married Read Mattis in Glendale, CA on April 19, 1942.

Wanda has lived in Yerington for the past 16 years moving from La Crescenta, California. She was a member of the Yerington Women's Club and regularly attended the Yerington Senior center. She enjoyed needlework and knitting. Wanda adored her family and kept up with all the activities of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Gordon and Betty Mattis of Kailua, HI, Susan and Richard Rogers of Yerington, NV and Marcia and Frank Noell of Independence, OR; her 10 grandchildren, Aaron Mattis, Jennifer Johnson, Kimberly Mattis, and Andrew Mattis of Kailua, HI; Alex Rose of Yerington, NV, Kaylynn Rogers of Yerington, Angela Hicks of Reno, Nancy Daley of Wewoka, OK, Crystal Thornton of El Cajon, CA, Jenn Noel-Wooten of Nags Head, NC; also 13 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Donald Walton and her husband of 59 years, Read E. Mattis.

A Memorial Service for Wanda will be held 10:00 am Saturday, February 8th at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington.
