William Willard Asper passed away on Thursday morning, April 23, 2009 at the South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington. He was 89.
William was born in Austin, Minnesota on December 5, 1919 the son of Ben and Mattie (Finhart) Asper. He was a veteran serving in the US Army during World War II.
He had lived in Yerington the past 23 years coming from Anaheim, California where he had worked in the Aero Space industry for North American Rockwell and Boeing. He enjoyed bowling and coin collecting.
He is survived by his Children, Howard (Carol) Asper of Chino Hills, California, Sherry (Cliff) Lewis of Perris, California and Nancy (Jim) Goldsmith of Yerington, Nevada; his brothers, Harold of Yerington and Myron (Gloria) Asper of Shakapee, Minnesota; his sisters, Irene Hurd and Madeline (Norman) Molaug; his 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lorraine, a son, Michael and a grandson, Ty.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 am Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Faith Lutheran Church 12 N. West Street Yerington. Burial will be in the family plot at Valley View Cemetery.
