Obituary
William Carl Nowack passed away at South Lyon Medical Center, Yerington on October 31, 2006. He was 74.
He was born on July 20, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois the son of William and Katherine (nee: Berntsen)Nowack. He joined the US Air Force in 1951 and served for over 8 years. He was a Jet Engine Mechanic which he also worked as a civilian. He married Dorothy Arlene Miller Otey in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 22, 1972. He had lived in the Yerington area for the past 12 years coming from Meadview, Arizona. He was very passionate and knowledgeable about the old west and very much enjoyed discussing the subject.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Yerington; a daughter, Nanette Knecht of Yerington, a son, Wlilliam, Jr. of Round Mountain, Nevada; step-children, Marilyn Fowler of Orville, California and Terence Otey of Las Vegas; his sisters, Marion Lawyer of Orinda, CA and Dorothy Neal of Angwin, CA; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
In keeping with his wishes no service will be held. Cremation is under the direction of Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, Yerington (775) 463-2911. You are invited to sign the Guest Book at www.FRFH.net for the family.
