Willie "Billie" Lois Miller passed away on Sunday morning, January 2, 2011 at the Highland Manor in Fallon, Nevada where she had resided for the past three years. She was 99.
Billie was born in Ruff Pontotac, Oklahoma the daughter of Grover Cleveland and Elpha (Ozbrin) Carroll on February 3, 1911. She met and married Frank Miller in Redding, California.
Billie spent a great deal of her life in California where she worked in the insurance business. In July of 1977 she and her husband moved to Yerington, Nevada to be close to family.
Billie joined the Order of Eastern Star in 1944, she was a member of Corel Chapter #142, Redding, California. After moving to Nevada, she was a member of the Supreme Assembly of the Social Order of the Beaucenta in Reno, Nevada and the White Shrine in Carson City and a member of the Daughters of the Nile. Billie joined the Naomi Chapter with her husband, Frank on December 19, 1977. She was a Worthy Matron of Naomi Chapter #16, OES in 1980. She was also Grand Representative of Nevada. Billie was a very dedicated, contributing member who will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank and her brother. She is survived by Kathy and Fred Hall and their children, Jeremy and Darrin; Mary Ann and Richard Ellington and their children, Mike, Andrea, and Amber; grandchildren Austin and Baylee; and Owen Miller.
Billie's Memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home 25 Hwy 208 Yerington, conducting the service will be Naomi Chapter #16, O.E.S..
