Windel D. Presley, age 82, passed away on Friday morning, August 12, 2016 in Carson City.

Windel was born April 1, 1934 in Morganton, Arkansas, the son of Louis and Dollie (Cullum) Presley. The family moved to Merced, California three years later and settled in Winton, California in 1940. Windel graduated from Livingston High School, Livingston, Ca. He married Barbara Jean Martin on November 22, 1952. Windel went to work for his brother-in-law Warren Miller learning the bricklaying trade.

Windel moved his family to Yerington in 1964 starting a masonry contracting business. The family moved to Carson City in 1972 continuing the masonry business. Windel and Barbara returned to Yerington in 1992 to retire however as Windel was well known in the community for his quality masonry workmanship he would get requests and so he continued to do smaller masonry jobs for many more years.

Windel is survived by his wife Barbara, three children, Darrel of Deltona, Fl, Cheryl of Reno, Nv and Robert of Carson City, Nv, three grandchildren Kevin, Bryan and Hannah and four great grandchildren Brianna, Joshua, Makenna, and Patrick.

His Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 am Friday, August 19th at the Holy Family Catholic. Inurnment will be at the Valley View Cemetery
