Gerald Hitchcock
Owner/Funeral Director & Cremation Specialist
Gerald Hitchcock has been the owner of FRFH along with his wife, Cindy, since 2003.
He is a graduate of the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science, where he received his Funeral Director/Embalmer degree. He has been licensed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer since 1977.
Gerald is licensed in California, Montana, and Nevada. As well as being a Funeral Director/Embalmer for over 40 years, he has extensive training as a Coroner Investigator and served as Coroner in Carbon County, Montana, and Deputy Coroner in Inyo County, California, and also worked as a Public Administrator for many years.
Gerald has three grown children: Jason, living in Seattle, Washington, with his wife Courtney and their two sons, Tanner and Jackson, and daughter, Zoe; Julie and her husband Cameron and daughter Judy live and work in Sparks, Nevada, and David is also currently living and working in Yerington, Nevada.
Gerald has been an active member of the Rotary Club in Red Lodge, Montana, and Bishop, California, before moving to Yerington, and served as Club President in Red Lodge, Montana. He is currently a member of the South Lyon Medical Center District Board. Gerald had served on the SLMC governing board for 9 years and was President of the Board for four years. He is currently a board member of the Hospital governing board. He is also a past Board member of the Nevada Funeral Board appointed by Gov. Kenny Guinn, and was reappointed by Gov. Gibbons and by Gov. Sandoval. Gerald has been appointed again to the Nevada Funeral and Cemetery Services Board by Gov. Steve Sisolak on January 31, 2020, and served until the term expired September 30, 2021. Gerald is also a past Policy Board member of the National Funeral Directors Association and has been elected to serve on the NFDA Leadership Development Committee.
Gerald is also a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, and is a third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Gerald is a Seattle Seahawks fan, "Go Hawks."
Gerald has extensive training as a funeral director and embalmer. He is also a Cremation specialist with training as a cremation operator and with funeral arranger training to be able to help every family meet their needs during their time of loss of a loved one.

Cindy Hitchcock
Office Manager/Owner
Cindy Hitchcock has been the owner of the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, along with her husband, since 2003.
Cindy works as the office manager and assists with families and funeral services.
Cindy is very involved in the local community and is a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. She had been the Director of the Religious Education Program at Holy Family for many years, stepping down in 2021. She is also the coordinator of the local 'Angel Tree' program, which helps over 500 children during the holidays. Cindy enjoys bowling and is also the Lyon County Bowling Association Secretary.
She is very proud of her three adult children, Jason, Julie & David, and a very proud grandmother to her four grandchildren, Tanner, Jackson, Zoe, and Judy.
Cindy also receives training to serve families at their time of need, in helping with funeral and cremation arrangements, with services and aftercare to all families.
